The Alamogordo Tigers softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Cibola Cougars to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Alamogordo moves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Tigers host Centennial (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Hawks in a 5A District 3 game on Tuesday, April 2. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 11-0. Centennial won 17-2 in their recent non-league game against Deming (Deming, NM)

In their next game, the Cougars play the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 1 game, on Tuesday, April 2. Cibola will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 6-10 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NM).
