Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cibola for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. Alamogordo will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Gallup falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Bengals host Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Rio Rancho won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)
