The Freeburg Midgets softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Nashville Hornets to 2 in the Midgets non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Freeburg improves its record to 10-1 on the year. The Midgets host Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league game on Saturday, March 30. The Indians come into the game with a record of 2-4. Mascoutah lost 6-4 in their recent non-league game against Mater Dei (Breese, IL)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats (Anna, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi game, on Monday, April 1. Nashville will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 9-2 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Plano (Plano, IL).
