Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Boilermakers now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Biggsville West Central for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4.
With the loss, Henry-Senachwine falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Mallards host Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL) to face the Wildcats in a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
