The Midland Trail Patriots softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Nitro Wildcats to 6 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Midland Trail improves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Patriots host Independence (Coal City, WV) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league game on Thursday, April 11. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 7-5.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Sissonville Indians (Charleston, WV) in a Cardinal game, on Monday, April 1. Nitro will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 3-5 record after their 8-0 league loss to Winfield (Winfield, WV).
