The Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) softball routed the host Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), 19-9 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Rams (6-5) will now prepare for their bout against Marion (Marion, IL). The Wildcats go into the South Seven bout with a 11-2 record. In their last bout, Marion notched a victory over Salem (Salem, IL), 3-1, in a non-league bout.

The Vandals now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league bout on Monday, April 1. Vandalia will confront a Comets squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Breese Central (Breese, IL). The Comets record now stands at 4-7.
