Illinois High School Softball - Kewanee bested by St. Bede

March 30, 2026: Peru, IL 61354

The St. Bede Bruins triumphed over the visiting Kewanee Boilermakers softball team by a margin of 11-1 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Bruins now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midland for a Tri-County battle on Tuesday, March 31. St. Bede will confront a Timberwolves team coming off a 12-4 league loss to Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Timberwolves record now stands at 1-4.

With the defeat, Kewanee drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Boilermakers travel to Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL) to meet the Titans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 1. The Titans go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Monmouth-Roseville won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL)
