The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Plainview Hornets (Glenmora, LA) and the visiting Pickering Red Devils (Leesville, LA), observed Plainview's softball team notch a victory over Pickering by a tally of 10-2.

The Hornets (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Fairview (Grant, LA). The Panthers go into the C District 5 match with a 0-12 record. In their last match, Fairview was routed by Lacassine (Lacassine, LA), 9-8, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) in a 2A District 4 match, on Tuesday, March 31. Pickering will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record.
