In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Danbury Lakers baseball team scored a tight 12-9 victory over the Monroeville Eagles.
The Lakers (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH). The Golden Bears go into the Sandusky Bay - River game with a 1-0 record.
The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their game against St. Paul (Norwalk, OH). The Flyers go into the Firelands game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, St. Paul tipped Mohawk (Sycamore, OH), 9-4, in a non-league game.
