Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cienega Bobcats (Vail, AZ), 13-7 in a league challenge.
The Sabercats now own a 1-0 record.
With the loss, Cienega falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ) to battle the Blue Devils in a challenge on Friday, April 1. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
