Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Point Warriors (Cullman, AL), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Bears now own a 24-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baker for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. Austin will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 11-2 league loss to Bryant (Irvington, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, West Point falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to James Clemens (Madison, AL) to battle the Jets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Jets enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. James Clemens lost 17-1 in their recent league challenge against Bob Jones (Madison, AL)
