Centennial Bulldogs (Las Vegas, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. Centennial will battle a Spirits squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Gilroy (Gilroy, CA). The Spirits record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, El Modena falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Vanguards travel to Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) to battle the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Mater Dei Catholic won 12-6 in their recent non-league challenge against San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA)
