The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) and the visiting Cholla Chargers (Tucson, AZ), saw Ironwood Ridge's softball squad achieve victory over Cholla by a count of 12-3.
The Nighthawks now sport a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marana for a 5A Sonoran match on Tuesday, April 5. Ironwood Ridge will face a Tigers squad coming off a 17-3 league win over Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 10-9.
With the loss, Cholla falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Chargers host Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ) to face the Dorados in a 4A Kino match on Friday, April 1. The Dorados enter the match with a record of 20-1. Canyon del Oro won 11-1 in their recent league match against Pueblo (Tucson, AZ)
