In Thursday's non-league contest, the Firelands Falcons (Oberlin, OH) softball team overwhelmed the host Perkins Pirates (Sandusky, OH), by a margin of 19-3.
With the triumph, Firelands moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Falcons travel to Keystone (La Grange, OH) to play the Wildcats in a Lorain County 8 contest on Monday, April 4. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 1-1.
In their next game, the Pirates play the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, OH) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 1. Perkins will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
