Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Huntley Red Raiders (Huntley, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The RedHawks now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln-Way Central for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. Marist will battle a Knights squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Knights record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Huntley falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to battle the Cyclones in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Normal Community (Normal, IL)
