The Rowan County Vikings softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Menifee County Wildcats to 0 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Rowan County improves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league game on Friday, April 1. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 2-4. North Laurel lost 10-4 in their recent non-league game against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 11. Menifee County will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 5-1 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY).
