The Newton Local Indians softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Twin Valley South Panthers to 0 in the Indians league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Newton Local improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Indians host Lehman Catholic (Sidney, OH) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Saturday, April 2. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 0-1. Lehman Catholic lost 5-2 in their recent league game against Miami East (Casstown, OH)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Madison Mohawks (Middletown, OH) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 1. Twin Valley South will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Mohawks come into the game with a 1-0 record after their 10-9 non-league win over National Trail (New Paris, OH).
