In Friday's non-league game, the host Smith County Owls baseball team scored a tight 12-8 victory over the Heritage Christian Eagles.
The Owls (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Cannon County (Woodbury, TN). The Lions go into the 2A District 6 game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Cannon County was overwhelmed by Blackford (Hartford City, IN), 8-2, in a non-league game.
The Eagles (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Summertown (Summertown, TN). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Summertown tipped Cascade (Wartrace, TN), 7-6, in a non-league game.
