The Covenant Christian Academy Falcons baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Smith-Cotton Tigers to 7 in the Falcons non-league victory on Friday.
The Falcons (12-5) will now prepare for their match against Blackford (Hartford City, IN). The Bruins go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Blackford was edged by Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN), 13-9, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (0-7) will now prepare for their match against Jefferson City (Jefferson City, MO). The Jays go into the Class 6 District 5 match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Jefferson City tipped Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL), 9-6, in a non-league match.
