The Wiley Panthers crushed the visiting John Mall Panthers baseball team by a count of 24-5 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Veta for a 1A District 4 game on Tuesday, April 4. Wiley will clash with a Redhawks team coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Manzanola (Manzanola, CO). The Redhawks record now stands at 2-3.
The Panthers (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Rye (Rye, CO). The Thunderbolts go into the 2A/1A Santa Fe game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Rye was overwhelmed by Limon (Limon, CO), 15-0, in a non-league game.
