Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Cedar Creek Cougars (Ruston, LA) and the host Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA), witnessed Cedar Creek's softball squad tip Acadiana by a count of 4-3.

The Cougars now sport a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Sterlington for a non-league match on Monday, April 3. Cedar Creek will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 23-5.

With the loss, Acadiana moves to 14-8 on the season. The Rams travel to Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA) to face the Penguins in a non-league match on Saturday, April 1. The Penguins go into the match with a record of 6-6. Academy of Our Lady lost 8-7 in their recent non-league match against Albany (Albany, LA)
