South Carolina High School Softball - Ashley Ridge tipped by James Island

In Friday's non-league outing, the host James Island Trojans softball team scored a close 7-5 triumph over the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes.

With the triumph, James Island moves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Trojans host Colleton County (Walterboro, SC) to play the Cougars in a AAAA Region 7 contest on Monday, April 3. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 14-1. Colleton County won 16-4 in their recent league contest against Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC)

In their next game, the Swamp Foxes play the Stratford Knights (Goose Creek, SC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, April 5. Ashley Ridge will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 22-0 league win over Goose Creek (Goose Creek, SC).
