Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cedar Crest Falcons (Lebanon, PA), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Mountaineers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lampeter-Strasburg for a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 challenge on Monday, April 3.
With the loss, Cedar Crest falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Penn Manor (Millersville, PA) to face the Comets in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1 challenge on Monday, April 3. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
