North Rangers (Eastlake, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Rangers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside for a Western Reserve challenge on Monday, April 3. North will battle a Beavers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Moniteau (West Sunbury, PA). The Beavers record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Central Valley falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Chardon (Chardon, OH) to battle the Hilltoppers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Chardon won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Olentangy Liberty (Powell, OH)
