Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Surry County for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. Northampton will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Greensville County (Emporia, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Charles City falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to battle the Royal Tigers in a Tidewater challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Royal Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
