Hempfield Black Knights (Landisville, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Dallastown Wildcats (Dallastown, PA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Knights now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to J.P. McCaskey for a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1 challenge on Monday, April 3. Hempfield will face a Red Tornado squad coming off a 12-7 non-league win over Lancaster Mennonite (Lancaster, PA). The Red Tornado record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Dallastown falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Spring Grove (Spring Grove, PA) to face the Rockets in a York-Adams 4 challenge on Monday, April 3. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
