Maryland High School Softball - Great Mills gets by McDonough

March 31, 2023: Great Mills, MD 20634

Spectators at Friday's league match between the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) and the visiting McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), witnessed Great Mills's softball squad tip McDonough by a count of 6-5.

The Hornets now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to La Plata for a Southern Maryland match on Monday, April 3. Great Mills will face a Warriors squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, McDonough moves to 1-4 on the season. The Rams travel to Northern (Owings, MD) to face the Patriots in a Southern Maryland match on Tuesday, April 4. The Patriots go into the match with a record of 3-1.
