Tennessee High School Softball - Midway falls to McMinn County

March 31, 2023: Athens, TN 37303

In Friday's non-league outing, the host McMinn County Cherokees softball team scored a nice 14-4 win over the Midway Green Wave.

Coming up next, the Cherokees battle the Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) in a 4A District 5 outing, on Tuesday, April 4. McMinn County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the outing with a 11-5 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Daniel Boone (Gray, TN).

The Green Wave (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, TN). The Wildcats enter the non-league outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Oak Ridge was routed by West (Knoxville, TN), 7-3, in a league outing.
