The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) and the visiting Empire Bulldogs (Duncan, OK), saw Velma-Alma's baseball team get by Empire by a tally of 7-6.

The Comets (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Ringling (Ringling, OK). The Blue Devils enter the Oilfield battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Ringling was tipped by Ninnekah (Ninnekah, OK), 6-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers (Mountain View, OK) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 1. Empire will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 9-7 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Sayre (Sayre, OK).
