Plaquemine Green Devils (Plaquemine, LA) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA), 7-5 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Plaquemine advances its record to 14-14 on the season. The Green Devils host St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA) to battle the Warriors in a 4A District 6 match on Thursday, April 3. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 8-13.
The Pelicans now have a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkview Baptist for a 3A District 6 match on Tuesday, April 1. Port Allen will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Live Oak (Watson, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 17-6.
