In Monday's non-league contest, the host Northern Highlands Highlanders lacrosse squad scored a tight 13-10 triumph over the West Essex Knights.
The Highlanders (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Knoll (Summit, NJ). The Royals go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Oak Knoll held off Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ), 13-9, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Knights meet the Chatham Cougars (Chatham, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 4. West Essex will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
