The Walnut Ridge Bobcats triumphed over the visiting Cross County Thunderbirds softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bobcats play the Manila Lions (Manila, AR) in a 3A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Walnut Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
The Thunderbirds (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR). The Mustangs enter the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Buffalo Island Central was routed by Izard County (Brockwell, AR), 11-0, in a non-league challenge.
