The Lexington Minutemen softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Midland Timberwolves to 0 in the Minutemen non-league win on Monday.

The Minutemen now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bloomington Central Catholic for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. Lexington will confront a Saints team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over McEwen (McEwen, TN). The Saints record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Midland moves to 2-5 on the season. The Timberwolves host Putnam County (Granville, IL) to confront the Panthers in a Tri-County battle on Tuesday, April 1. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 2-6. Putnam County lost 13-1 in their recent non-league battle against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL)
