In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Whitley County Colonels baseball team scored a nice 18-3 win over the Springfield Wildcats.
The Colonels (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Crescent (Iva, SC). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Crescent was overwhelmed by Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL), 7-0, in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Greeneview Rams (Jamestown, OH) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, April 1. Springfield will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Rams come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 15-5 non-league win over Fairfield (Leesburg, OH).
