North Carolina High School Baseball - Draughn edged by Burns

The Burns Bulldogs got by the host Draughn Wildcats baseball team by a count of 6-5 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thomas Jefferson for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A bout on Tuesday, March 8. Burns will face a Gryphons team coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Pinnacle Classical Academy (Shelby, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 0-2.

Next, the Wildcats face the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 8. Draughn will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC).
