Arizona High School Softball - Salpointe Catholic bounces Cienega

Spectators at Friday's league match between the Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ) and the visiting Cienega Bobcats (Vail, AZ), witnessed Salpointe Catholic's softball squad prevail over Cienega by a count of 16-1.

The Lancers now sport a 1-0 record.

With the loss, Cienega moves to 2-1 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ) to face the Coyotes in a match on Monday, March 7. The Coyotes go into the match with a record of 0-1. Campo Verde lost 19-8 in their recent league match against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ)
