In Friday's non-league test, the visiting Pope John Paul II Knights lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Bartlett Panthers.
The Knights now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Christian Brothers for a non-league match on Saturday, March 5. Pope John Paul II will play a Purple Wave team coming off a 15-7 non-league win over Evangelical Christian (Cordova, TN). The Purple Wave record now stands at 2-1.
The Panthers (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Hendersonville Spartans [Hendersonville/Beech/Hyde/Station Camp/Aaron Academy] (Hendersonville, TN). The Spartans go into the TSLA 1AA Central 2 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Hendersonville Spartans [Hendersonville/Beech/Hyde/Station Camp/Aaron Academy] nudged Wilson Central (Lebanon, TN), 12-3, in a league match.
