Texas High School Softball - Celina can't hold off Abilene

The Abilene Eagles softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Celina Bobcats to 9 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Abilene improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Eagles host North Forney (Forney, TX) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league game on Saturday, March 5. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 5-5. North Forney lost 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, TX)
In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Aubrey Chaparrals (Aubrey, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 game, on Tuesday, March 8. Celina will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Chaparrals come into the game with a 10-3 record after their 21-0 non-league win over Lindsay (Lindsay, TX).
