The Alvin Yellowjackets softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Sherman Bearcats to 2 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Alvin improves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Clear Springs (League City, TX) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league game on Saturday, March 5. The Chargers come into the game with a record of 11-2. Clear Springs won 3-2 in their recent non-league game against Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX)

In their next game, the Bearcats clash with the Brazoswood Buccaneers (Clute, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 4. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Buccaneers come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Deer Park (Deer Park, TX).
