The Freedom Patriots softball team scored 26 runs and limited the host Bunker Hill Bears to 0 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Freedom improves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Patriots host East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Monday, March 7. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 0-1. East Burke lost 10-8 in their recent non-league game against Patton (Morganton, NC)

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A game, on Tuesday, March 8. Bunker Hill will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Wolves come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 17-2 non-league win over South Point (Belmont, NC).
