Carson Colts (Carson, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Colts now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Redondo Union for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. Carson will face a Sea Hawks squad coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA). The Sea Hawks record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Mira Costa falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host El Segundo (El Segundo, CA) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. El Segundo lost 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against South (Torrance, CA)
