Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA), 18-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alemany for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. Chavez will face a Warriors squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Burbank (Burbank, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Garfield falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Marshall (Los Angeles, CA) to face the Barristers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 10. The Barristers enter the challenge with a record of 2-0.
