The Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX) softball the host Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), 5-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars (13-2) will now prepare for their bout against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Canyon held off Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX), 17-0, in a league bout.
The Rangers now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hays for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. Smithson Valley will face a Hawks squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Crosby (Crosby, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 2-2.
