Lancaster Eagles (Lancaster, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hesperia Scorpions (Hesperia, CA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eastside for a Golden challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Lancaster will face a Lions squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Paraclete (Lancaster, CA). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Hesperia falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Apple Valley (Apple Valley, CA) to face the Sun Devils in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. The Sun Devils enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Apple Valley lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland (Palmdale, CA)
