Mississippi High School Softball - Lawrence County can't get by Wesson

In Friday's non-league contest, the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) softball team held off the host Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, Wesson moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Cobras host Franklin County (Meadville, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 7 contest on Tuesday, March 8. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Cougars play the Clinton Arrows (Clinton, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 11. Lawrence County will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
