Marysville Indians (Marysville, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wood Wildcats (Vacaville, CA), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Wheatland for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. Marysville will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 11-7 non-league win over Colfax (Colfax, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Wood falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA) to battle the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Northgate lost 11-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA)
