Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) and the visiting West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC), witnessed Southern Nash's softball squad tip West Brunswick by a count of 6-3.

The Firebirds now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Nash Central for a The Big East 2A/3A match on Tuesday, March 8.

With the loss, West Brunswick moves to 0-2 on the season. The Trojans host White Oak (Jacksonville, NC) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 8. The Vikings go into the match with a record of 0-3. White Oak lost 6-5 in their recent non-league match against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)
