Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX), 11-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Coronado upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to battle the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 4 test on Thursday, March 9. The Plainsmen come into the test with a record of 5-6. Monterey lost 4-2 in their recent league test against Wylie (Abilene, TX)

With the defeat, Montwood falls to 6-5 on the season. The Rams travel to Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, March 9. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 2-2. Colleyville Heritage lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Lamar (Arlington, TX)
