The Salinas Cowboys topped the host San Mateo Bearcats volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cowboys now have a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christopher for a non-league test on Thursday, March 9. Salinas will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-3.

The Bearcats (0-3) will now prepare for their test against San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, San Leandro was knocked off by Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
