The Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats (Shoreham, NY), 50-42 in Saturday's non-league contest.
The Wildcats now sport a 21-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baldwin for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 11. Walt Whitman will battle a Bruins team coming off a 70-52 non-league win over East New York Family Academy (Brooklyn, NY). The Bruins record now stands at 1-1.
The Wildcats (21-1) will now prepare for their contest against Manhasset (Manhasset, NY). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Manhasset was defeated by Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Syosset, NY), 65-48, in a non-league contest.
